Hi! I’m Grace, a photographer and photojournalist based in Northern California.
I’m also an artist, equestrian, reptile-lover, and a fourth-year student at Stanford University pursuing a B.S. in Human Biology.
I started photography when I got my first DSLR at the age of 13. I’ve been animal-crazy since I was little, and as soon as I got my camera, I began photographing my various pets—this obsession soon culminated into my lifelong dream to become a wildlife photojournalist. I began my journey into wildlife conservation photography, taking pictures of everything from North American megafauna to venomous snakes in Central America. I’ve been blessed to see some of the world’s most fascinating animals in all kinds of environments. I’ve since been awarded by some of the biggest photography competitions and organizations, including National Geographic, the Royal Photographic Society, Nature’s Best Photography, and more. In 2018, I even sold my own wildlife photo book, Faces of Yellowstone, to fundraise for critical wildlife research at the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center.
The unforgiving nature of wildlife photography has given me an incredible foundation to start exploring other photography genres, particularly portraiture and equine. I aspire to take raw and evocative images of the world’s people and animals, telling their stories through the lens. I especially love taking dreamy, painting-like portraits with lush greenery and soft, illuminating bokeh in the background, and that has become my signature in photography.
